Serving at North Country Christian Fellowship
For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another (Romans 12:4-5).
We believe one of the keys to a healthy local church is connection to one another serving the cause of Christ. We all have unique talents and giftings, both practical and spiritual, that the local body needs in order to flourish. Of course, much fruitful ministry that happens, happens without any formal designation, which is as it should be. But there are also specifically designated areas of service which we encourage everyone to get involved with as well. These can also help you meet members of NCCF, make new friends, and get to partake in serving Christ.
Here are just some areas where you can serve:
- Pre-Service Refreshments
- Ushering
- Greeting
- Security
- Nursery
- Children's Church
- Youth
- Baskets of Hope
- Food Pantry
- Building projects
- ...and many more!
Some Practical info
To serve in a designated church ministry, we encourage you to:
• be a member of NCCF (for many areas this is required, especially things like children's ministry, etc.). You can find information on how to become a member here.
• For many areas of service (especially children's ministry, etc.) you will also be asked to fill out a ministry application and take our Child Sexual Abuse Prevention (CSAP) training class. For those areas, fill out the ministry application and hand it to our NCCF Pastor Mike Tomford or an NCCF elder or mail it to the central church network office at Christian Fellowship Center, PO Box 5, Madrid, NY 13660, or email us at nccfcontact@gmail.com . Also, feel free to talk to anyone on our leadership team with any questions you may have about your interests and opportunities to serve. When your application has been received, a leader or someone in the church office will contact you about taking the CSAP class, where required, and will tell you the next step.
