What to Expect Sunday Mornings at
North Country Christian Fellowship in Gouverneur

Service Times:Pre-Service Prayer 9:00 Sunday School 9:30 |
Main Sanctuary
The main sanctuary is to the right of our foyer. Refreshments are available before and sometimes after the service in the Fellowship Hall to the left of our foyer.
Nursing Mother's Room
There is a nursing mother's room off the foyer with a window to the sanctuary that is a mirror on the opposite side. This gives nursing moms privacy while still being able to see and hear what is happening during the service.
Children's Church and Adult Sunday School
Our children's church and adult Sunday School classrooms are past the Fellowship Hall and to the right in the classroom wing.
Pre-Service Fellowship
Every Sunday morning we have pre-service fellowship time that always includes coffee and refreshments. This is a perfect opportunity to come, meet a few people, and get situated (especially if you want to see where your kids will be for nursery and Children's Church) before the main service begins. During this time some people will be in a pre-service prayer room down the hallway. Also, there is an adult Sunday School taking place down the hallway after the pre-service prayer.
Worship
Worship time involves a variety of instruments (Psalm 150:3-5), in a modern worship song style, with modern worship songs and hymns. We encourage expressive Biblical worship which includes clapping, raising hands, and sometimes dancing (Psalm 47:1, Psalm 150:1-6). Children remain with their parents during the worship time. However, the nursing mother's room is available at any time during the service as needed.
Child Care
Child care is provided during all of our Sunday services, nurseries (0-4) and Children's Church (ages 5-11). The children will be dismissed prior to the sermon for children's church and/or nursery. If you'd prefer to have your children stay with you in the sanctuary during the sermon, that's also fine. Whatever is best for your family!
Childcare is provided by members of NCCF who have been approved by the eldership to work with children. We have run background checks on all workers and all workers have been trained in security protocols as well.
Sermons
Every Sunday, one of the pastors or sometimes a teaching elder, shares for about 35-45 minutes. Occasionally we'll have guest ministry from another pastor or missionary within or outside of the network of churches we are part of. To hear a sermon and/or watch a live, or past service, click here, or go to our sermon archive here.
